Design & Materials
The materials that get used for your project, and the different processes, are as important as the design itself.
Poor use of budget is spending a fortune on design only to scrimp on the materials used in the production process. This is entirely true the other way around as well; even the most expensive materials won't do much to make a terrible design look pleasing.
With wedding invitations, it's important to think about your suite as a whole rather than a series of individual pieces. When working with me, you'll see I take great care in making sure colours, textures and embellishments combine to create a pleasing 'whole experience'. And these elements are translated through to your on-the-day stationery too. In fact, many of my couples are keen to have their Save the Date stationery be a taster of their main theme.
With long or short-form calligraphy, a similar process applies. Thinking about the final size and how this will be displayed will determine the look and feel of the piece. But consideration should be given to the recipient and their preferences for style and colour, as this will play a large part when choosing papers and inks, and the appropriateness of any decoration.
